Can't seem to establish a good sleeping pattern after the Christmas/New Year break. I'm sleeping about half the hours I'm supposed to.

I want to write stuff. Maybe that's what I should do at night, after making cosplay and gaming, rather than surf the net idly. There are random lines in my head, bits of conversations.

My hair looks like Jareth the goblin king today.

Yagyuu's 'Gentry, Gently' sounds like it belongs in the middle of a broadway musical.

Somehow, I am reminded of Javert from Les Miserables. My mind tickles at the thought of Yagyuu singing 'Stars'. Or even something from Phantom of the Opera. Not the titular song, because that's been done to death, but one of the other numbers.

I need to go watch Philip Quast on youtube, now. And Anthony Warlow. Yes.

I finally wrote something again, after a year-and-a-half writing hiatus. It's only a short, quick, off-the-cuff piece of fluffish nonsense, but it's *something*, after a year and a half of nothing.

Sometimes it seems like I am only able to write when my body and brain are pushed to their complete limits. When my life quiets down and I have free time and things are going well... I cannot write a damned word. When things get crazy and I'm even rationing out my sleep... that's when I manage to crank writing out.

It might be too late to pick up 'Au Revoir' by now... it's been nearly two years since I updated it... and I'm not sure anyone would even want to finish it now. I have not given up on it, and I even have another unfinished part to post, but... *sigh*

It's been so long since I wrote fic, I have no idea where to even post it to share it, anymore. That's pathetic.

I have three hours to myself before going to my sister's to watch Ryoma. Maybe I'll listen to some music. I could do with some upbeat stuff today. I can feel a playlist forming in my brain, already. Maybe some Kishidan, Kamen Rider Den-o stuff, and DJ OZMA.

P.S.: Last.fm, you can respectfully go sit on a flagpole and rotate. I do not wish to tag all my music in kanji instead of romaji, and if you do not like it, tough cookies. I do not deserve a nasty red nag screen telling me I need to help keep your tags pure. I used to tag everything in kanji, but then I started using multiple computers and taking music with me, and half the time there would be no language support on any given computer, and I would have a list of complete gibberish.

solaas sent me a castle cake mould for Christmas! This was what I made last weekend - chocolate sponge. I didn't know how much cake mix to make, though, and turns out I made too little, meaning the castle is about 70% of the height it's supposed to be. XDDDD

But still. HEE.

Unrelated: I've been growing my nails. They're still very short by regular people's standards, but very long by mine. And I forgot about the difference when I was showering. I think I might have somehow slightly damaged myself just under the back of my neck as a result. Oops.

I am banning myself from bookstores, at least until I've finished the ones I have purchased with my own money recently. Uggghhhh, I just want everything when I walk into a Barnes & Noble, and some pleading part of my brain tries to convince me that if I don't get them now, who knows when I'll see them again!? Boooooo. Oh well, I've got plenty. You can wait, Pirate Atlas/The Convalescent/The Hot Zone/Paper Towns/etc etc.

Today feels gross, and I've sucked up not comparing myself a bit. Meh. I wish I were back at school, walking everywhere. I'm so lazy, and I feel like it's starting to show even more. :/ I need to get into shape particularly for pulling of the couple of costumes I'd like to have ready by A-kon: Eelai (hodamn) and Johnny (not...as bad. I'll just be the least manly Johnny EVAR).

Watching Fushigi Yuugi made me really want to do a group cosplay of that someday. *___* I think it would be so pretty if we all used patterned silks in our costumes, ooh, aah~ Bah, now I've gotten myself all excited about things that will take time, like Phoenix for the FF Summons group. adkhfoahgohg LET'S GO.

Today was much less stressful than yesterday.

Watched the baby at my sister's, but Cory was there to help a bit, so at least I got my hands free to eat lunch and use the bathroom.

I started up Kamen Rider Ryuki again. I had to stop and rewind frequently because the baby needed attention, so it took longer than normal, but I got through almost 10 episodes.

Shinji, I absolutely love you, but you need to be smacked with a cluebat. Repeatedly. :D;;;

Ren's a hardass, but I think there is a softy in there somewheeeeeeeeere.

And Kitaoka is just... X3 ♥ Oh, a jerk ass but so lovable and detestable at the same time.

EDIT: A magazine I bought the first week of November, that I was sure was lost in the mail, came today. ♥

Apparently some mail containing money that was sent EMS to Hayato and my sister took three weeks to reach them. They got it today. Something is seriously going on with the mail right now. The copy of FF13 that I bought for Hayato reached the USA today, almost three weeks after it was mailed. By the time I actually get it, it will be a full three weeks. There is absolutely no excuse for EMS to be taking three weeks. Even during the holidays. :( At least it isn't lost, but this means that I get to give him the wrong version of the game. I can't send it back, and I can't get a refund. I hope it plays.

ETA: I wonder if the whole bombing 'attempt' on Christmas had to do with all these mail delays? If planes from overseas were having a more difficult time getting into the US, it would explain the ridiculous backlog.

Jacket - made it a bit too small. DX Nothing I can do about it now. Ruffles and lace have been added, still waiting for the gimp braid to arrive so that I can put that on, too, for extra bling. Need a method of fastening in the front. Thinking about using hook & eye.

Cuffs - done except for the gimp braid. After adding that I will do the buttonholes (right now it's hard to judge where to put the holes). The cufflinks are ready and waiting. They're very loose and are supposed to be that way, so I'll need to think about how to keep them on my wrists later. Either velcroed to itself (not so pretty) or velcroed onto another tight cuff underneath (prettier), I guess.

Trousers - made. With a very neat hole in the back for Zidane's tail. Not sure if I should bother making the pocket on the left trouser leg. I might screw it up and this is the shiny version of Zidane anyway, and a pocket there might just look messy and out of place.

Pouch - is that a pouch or a sword sheath? No idea. Anyway, I've started making it. Have the base done using leather-looking vinyl plus real leather cut off from things I no longer want. Need to get craft foam to make the decorations.

Jewellery - earrings made on the same night I made the trousers. Pendant has been made with clay stuff, now waiting for it to dry so that it can be painted. It needs a necklace to go on, though.

Gloves - just gloves, not glove + biker-looking-things, since that doesn't suit this shiny Zidane. I already own a pair of gloves that's just right.

Inner shirt - tight sleeveless tee with collar, it seems. I'll put one together.

Shoes - not yet. Will get some cheap boots and modify.

Cravat - or whatever it is he's wearing around his neck. Trying to figure it out.

Tail - I know how I'm making it, just need to get the materials.

Swords - >DDDDDD Will talk about those later.

That's all I guess? I really hope that is all.

But first, a recommendation.

I don't listen to many Tenipuri anime songs apart from the occasional Sanada crack (D-Kimochi, ILU) and Rikkai Young Kan singles, but I saw Yagyuu's new mini album up for DL today and since I have the hots for Tsuda Eisuke's voice, I thought I should give it a try and listen.

IT IS AWESOME.

Holy, that man can sing! ♥ Such a deep, sexy voice, full of that Yagyuu haughtiness. I loved it since their Platinum single with Masuda Yuuki. He has this distinctive, vibrating timbre, which makes him very pleasant to listen to and also quite an unique seiyuu, I think.

And the songs are also good! Try and Cry would be my absolute favourite, but Laser Beam and the other two are also great, a good balance between upbeat songs with nice arrangement and slow ones where we can fully enjoy his voice range, which reminds me of a true classical singer's. Just lovely.

Definitely check it out.

And also! My one and only girlcrush, Sacchin will have a new mini-album out in March, again in time for Yuki's birthday. Yay! CAN'T WAIT. \o/

I hope that, someday, talking to my mother will not make me wish I had saved her some time to instead bang my head against a wall for an hour and a half. 8|

Also, as annoying and distracting as it is to have a cat bite you for yelling and crying too loud during a heated "discussion", it's also sort of cute, and the cheer-up cuddles after you've quieted are great.

After the last two weeks of daycare insanity, I think I'm finally get some stuff done.

I finished Kaidoh's bag check for fanbook, finished translating Nagaoka's backdated entries for maigo_no_egao, translated about 1/3 of Jet Monster's XXX for otl_scanlations, got Christmas cards mailed out, bought a bunch more stamps, answered a bunch-ish of comments (down to around 50 in my inbox!)...

Yaaaaaaaay. XD

I'm planning on scanning something for Valentine's Day too. Jet Monster's "Let's Go to the High School"! Really long, but really awesome, and I want to scanlate it for OTL Scanlations one of these days. *WHOO*

Reason #372 Why I Would Be a Terrible Awesome Terrible Parent: If my child had a runny nose with mucus the consistency of thick slime, I would tell said child that brain slugs had infested his/her head and would soon take control of his/her body. (Mostly likely only in consequence to not taking the proper and probably disgusting medicine, but maybe simply for a lark.)

This is the kind of thing I think about when I myself have brain slugs coming out of my nose. I AM SO TIRED OF COUGHING AND SNIFFLING ADGHASDGOHAOGHL.
